I was glued to the television as a child. Outside of sitcoms basketball was my favorite thing to watch. All my favorite basketball players had there own line of signature sneakers. Jordan, Pippen, Barkely and Ewing all of the greatest battle on the hardwood with the freshest sneakers in history. However they weren’t the only people on television wearing heat. All my favorite shows like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sienfeild, A Different World all had lead actors rocking that straight fire.

This is my homage to ‘em.

I remember watching it one Saturday afternoon when the morning cartoons went off, you know when the network starts playing random movies to fill time out till the evening. I saw the first one and was shocked that their was a second one so I grab some snacks and turned up the television. Maaaan…..when Michael J Fox pulled out those Nikes Air Mag and hit the lace button I couldn’t wait for the future to come any faster.
Nike has put out the actual Air Mag sneaker but only for raffles and you know how that goes . So when I saw that these dropped at my local Niketown I had to do what it do. I wasn’t camping out overnight in the rain, I’ve paid my dues. After swinging a kid four-hundred-something-dollars, I got my size sweat no fuss. I’m not wearing em till 2030 tho so see me in the future.

I WON THE RAFFLE !!!! I never win raffles so it means a lot to me. I remember first seeing sneak peeks of Travis Scott wearing em and thought to myself that I NEEEED these, as an OG sneakerhead I never say that so this is big. Then when he was preforming at the GRAMMYs and they dropped on the broken-ass app Nike likes to call 😒 SNKRS. Then all the celebrities/athletes had em on afterwards of course. And like I expected they came out on his birthday on his website and all the bots slurped those up so now thats 2-3 Ls (depending on how you count them), so the only thing left was the wider release that was only for boutiques and top teir Nike stores. Bodega, one of the top sneaker stores in the world and based right out of Boston were getting them and had a raffle. For two days the line wrapped around the block on Mass Ave. I went the first day and left, I had things to do and was not waiting in the long as line like a mark. So the next day I went right before working barely making it on time to punch in. It was all worth it to wake up with a email from Bodega Saturday morning saying I won the raffle…crisis averted 😎
AJ1s are of course of of my favorite shilloutes. It lookd best with jeans or pants that hit right about the top of the sneaker. The perforated top box is an old school design, allowing air to escape ya shoe so your sneaker won’t be smelly. The suede is a sweet mocha color all around the shoe while the the swoosh which is all by Nike law pointed the other way is not inverted in black suede. One of the dopest part of the sneaker is the lace package, it comes with red, white, mocha, and my favorite pink which is one of the hardest color to flex with. I’ve been pleased with the Travis Scott Nike collection and I’m eager to see whats next.

One day while chilling in the ally I started taking pictures on my iPhone. I was doing this angle were I put my feet in the air and make it seem as if im walking in air. With a lil fliter on the picture everything came out well.
My Black Cement Jordans were one of my favorite sneakers. I still have a pair in my weekly rotation. With a black leather upper and a street grey bottom. These sneaker is a true classic.

These are the Air Jordan Concords 11s. The popular sneaker release of the year. Patent leather around the around the foot with an ice sole bottom. These were a must have. It was also one of the crazier sneaker release I’ve ever been at.

If you scroll through this page you can see that Air Jordan 1’s are by far one of my favorites. It’s silhouette is to clean and goes with everything. Me, I dress like a Power Ranger so I focus heavliy on one color. Today it was blue. This day was Friday the 13th so tattoos were cheap. My birthday is on the 13th so I got that tatted on my knuckle.
People always talk bad about the AJ1. They say just the brand overall just rereleases the same shoe in differnt colors, but thats the symbol of an icon. The AJ1 is an ICON. It takes all the best attributes of the Nike Dunk and streamlines it. Plus it goes well with any bottom. trousers, pants, jeans and dungarees it doesn’t matter just find the right color.

Basketball was no transferable skill to baseball, so why would the greatest basketball player pick up a bat? I hated watching my favorite player piddle around in the minor leagues, and the only reason he was there was because of his name brand. I hated everything about this era in MJ’s career; God bless space jam tho. So natrually the Air Jordan 9 was one of my least favorite Jumpman’s.
In my early twentys I started working at Nike and as usaul one day while standing in Sportswear/Jordan staring at the footwear wall. The UNC Retro 9 just came out. I picked it up and began to hold it. It wasn’t a bad looking shoe, yeah it was inspired by a baseball cleat but it choosed its better attributes. I enjoy the sockliner I liked how it hugs the foot. Plus is a good size shoe so you can wear it during the summer with some shorts or in the fall with a hoodie. Okay after some thought the AJ9 aint as bad as I mafr it put to be.
